It is most people's dream to be dubbed a Beyoncé lookalike.
Seriously, if someone told you your left eyelid somewhat resembled Beyoncé's, you'd take that credit and run with it.
But Brittany Williams, a woman living in Detroit and possibly the closest Bey doppelganger we've ever seen?
"I actually don’t think we resemble," she told BET on the weekend.
Sorry…Wwhat?
"She is a beautiful woman and so am I. But at the end of the day, God created her to be her and me to be me, and I love being me," she continued.
Though Williams grew up idolizing late hip-hop legend Aaliyah, she says she very much admires Beyoncé for her achievements.
"If I ever met her, I would tell her that I’m proud of her and everything she is and has achieved…I would tell her that I appreciate how she uses music to express herself in the way the art was intended—freely with no reservation to our emotions."
Internet trolls have accused Williams of trying to make herself look like Bey, because of course they have. To which we respond with, "Yes, of course. This is what we are all trying to do every day."
But Williams insists she doesn't alter her appearance to look like the singer.
"Actually, I do not wear a lot of makeup. I hate to look drastically different from my natural self. I keep it simple. Some people assume I wear weave to look like her, but most of the pictures that I post online are with no weave. I naturally have long, thick hair. Weave is a choice for me."
Of course, even if Williams was trying to look like Bey, there'd be absolutely nothing wrong with that.
It would probably be the most understandable thing we've ever heard.
