The internet is a powerful thing, and we very much hope that it can help the movie of our dreams become a reality.
This past weekend, a 2014 photo of Rihanna and Lupita Nyong'o at Paris Fashion Week surfaced, prompting Twitter user to share it with the fitting caption, "a picture for the history books."

responded with what we can only assume is the synopsis for 2020's Best Picture:
"Rihanna looks like she scams rich white men and Lupita is the computer smart friend that helps plan the scams."

The internet, quite rightfully, exploded into utter mayhem. One user even created a comic depicting an imagined scene from the proposed movie, solidifying the very real need for this movie to happen.

We imagine the film would include a montage of the women plotting their schemes while laughing maniacally in Prada sunglasses. And at least one shot of them walking in slow motion as an explosion goes off behind them.
Twitter went even more bananas when both Nyong'o and Rihanna responded. Good news: They're apparently both on board.

And when fans turned to esteemed director Ava DuVernay, so was she.

Could this actually be a real, legitimate thing?
Rihanna has already made her star turn in her guest appearance on Bates Motel, and is in the upcoming Oceans 8, so she's clearly ready for more time on the big screen.
Right?
