Hayden Panettiere’s Airplane Bathroom Selfie Sums Up Parenting on the Run

Traveling with a toddler never goes according to plan. Even if it seems like everything is playing out nicely, something is bound to happen eventually.

Nashville actor Hayden Panettiere is the latest celebrity mom to share that experience, after a very relatable moment she had traveling recently with her two-year-old daughter Kaya.

During an early Monday morning flight, trying to use the bathroom like the big kid she probably swears she is—a perfect example of toddler logic, as all parents knowPanettiere’s daughter peed on the plane’s bathroom floor.

Of course, it was mom to the rescue, stat. But it was Kaya's sweet attempt to help clean up the mess that actor found endearing enough to share on Twitter.

The photo is a very relatable look into Panettiere's motherhood journey, which hasn't always been an easy one.

The year after Kaya's birth in 2014, the actor took some time off from filming Nashville to seek treatment for her postpartum depression. She was vocal about her experiences, hoping to validate the struggle many women go through.

As she told US Weekly in 2015:

"It's something a lot of women experience…You don’t realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on. It’s something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they’re not alone, and that it does heal."

Panettiere checked herself into a treatment facility for her postpartum depression again in 2016.

But happily for both mother and daughter, Panettiere has received an onslaught of love and support from family and fans over the years, making the airplane photo all the more "aww"-worthy.
