'I Tried Khloe Kardashian’s Not So Subtle Marriage Hints on My Boyfriend'

If you keep up with the Kardashians at all you'll know that following her divorce from Lamar Odom last year, Khloé Kardashian began dating Canadian basketball player Tristan Thompson.

Introduced by a mutual friend last August, Kardashian told ES Magazine that things are now very serious between the couple. Thompson's "morals and ethics are everything I've wanted and need in my life," she said.

With her best-selling book, her Good American line and the long-running Keeping Up With the Kardashians TV show, Kardashian said Thompson is playing a big role in helping her achieve the goals she still has for the future.

"I would love to have a family," she said, adding that she knows Thompson would be an impeccable father because he's already a dad to a four-month-old son:

"I definitely want to be a mom. But I don’t put the pressure on it. It’s not like, 'the clock is ticking.' I feel in my soul it will happen."

While she says the couple has no immediate plans to get married, she does say she's "never been in this type of love" and that if Thompson proposed she would accept.

While Kardashian said she and Thompson have talked about their future, I still feel like her comments are some pretty big hints to drop in an interview. It got me thinking: I wonder if they would have the same effect or be seen as sweet if she said them to him directly.

With that in mind, I decided to try them out on my marriage-phobic boyfriend of four years, Brad.

Hmm, maybe it only works if you're a Kardashian.
