If there's anyone who can survive the "no-makeup" craze sweeping the nation, it's Jessica Alba.
Beauty blog Into the Gloss (who's skincare brand Glossier's slogan is appropriately "skin first, makeup second") has released a video of Alba taking us through her everyday routine for glowing skin.
It's three minutes of quick tips, a new tool and a couple of last-minute touch-ups to combine to create Alba's fresh-faced look.
The busy actor, entrepreneur and working mom starts with exfoliation, using the to remove dead skin and create a smooth base for makeup.
Next, she uses the , which she claims helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and dark circles.
Then comes the new tool. Alba grabs her Nurse Jamie's Instant Uplift Tool, a purple wand-like tool she rolls across her face and under her chin. Says Alba, "It heats up and massages the skin. It's like giving your face a little workout."
(Though we previously considered our face the sole area of the body that doesn't require physical exercise, we're still pretty intrigued.)
Alba then grabs her Honest Beauty Everything Organic Facial Oil, which she warms in her hands before applying to her skin.
She finishes off her fresh-faced look with touch ups from the Honest Beauty Concealer Duo, as well as dabs of the Honest Beauty Balm on her lips, cheekbones and eyelids.
But she doesn't let us go without a few inspiring words, of course. Says Alba:
"I love to really celebrate your own beauty. Instead of always masking and covering up, I really think that beauty is about enhancing who you are."
We couldn't agree more.
